Schedule:

Departure Thursday morning 06:00
Arrival at Livadi Parnassos 08:45
Receipt of equipment with the help of responsible Gymnasts – teachers 09:00 ‘- 09:45’
Arrival at the ski resort at 10:30
Lesson 11:00 – 12:30 , break 12:30 – 13:30 and lesson 13:30 – 15:00
Snow games until 16:00
Gathering on the bus at 16:15 and departure for check-in at our hotel and buffet dinner
Friday breakfast at 08:00 – 08:30
Departure for the ski resort at 09:00
Lesson 10:30 – 12:30, break 12:30 – 13:30 and lesson 13:30 – 15:00
Snow games until 16:00
Gather on the bus at 16:15, return to Delphi, buffet dinner and walk around the city, until the time we have agreed before the trip
Saturday breakfast at 08:00 – 08:30
Check out and departure for the ski resort at 09:00
Lesson 10:00 – 12:00, break 12:00 – 13:00 and lesson 13:00 – 15:00
Gathering on the bus at 15:30 and return for delivery of equipment, lunch in a tavern and at 18:00 departure for Athens.
Arrival at our starting point at 20:30

Costs and benefits

Excursion cost: 290 euros for accommodation at the hotel “Amalia” in Delphi and includes:

– Transfer to and from Athens as well as all local movements,

– Ski equipment rental (set),

– Ski lesson,

– Meals (3), 2 in the hotel buffet and 1 in the tavern.

– Nights (2) with rich breakfast (in double or triple rooms).

Also included:

– Meeting – detailed information a few days before departure.

– Excursions Experienced Physical Education Teachers / ski instructors.

– Sandwiches, cereal bar, juice and a bottle of water at the break of each day.

* Deposit of at least 50% of the money with the reservation no later than Wednesday 22 December 2021, which in case of cancellation of the reservation can not be refunded

* The above prices include VAT 24%.

Arachova (Mykonos for winter months)

At the slopes of Parnassos, Apollo’s mountain, lies the traditional, picturesque and cosmopolitan town of Arachova, one of the most famous destinations in Greece for a winter escape and winter sports.

Next to Delphi, the centre of the ancient world, Arachova enchants the visitor with its distinct mountain beauty. The snow covered landscape offers the opportunity for ski or snowboarding and the town gives the opportunity for strolls along the paved alleyways.

Accommodation: Depending on the budget, visitors can find from traditional guesthouses to chalet and small or large hotels. If you want to visit during Christmas holidays an alternative idea is to look for accommodation at nearby Delphi which is considerably cheaper since Arachova is valued as a “high” destination.

Where to go: Arachova is considered the absolute destination for skiing, snowboarding and extreme sports like climbing Parnassos mountain. Visitors who don’t enjoy winter sports can still visit the snow covered mountain and enjoy a coffee, hot chocolate or tea at the ski resort.

Food, cafe, drinks: Most shops, restaurants, cafe and bars are located in the main square or Lakka square. Traditional and small tavernas are unfolding in the narrow roads while the scenic paved alley has many cosy bars with live music. Do not leave town before tasting the local traditional cheese “Formaela”, which is designated as a “Protected designation of origin” (PDO) and don’t forget to buy handmade hilopita pasta.

Sightseeing: At the top of the tower is a large 10m height clock , also known as “the time”, which survived an explosion during WWII in 1944. It’s worth climbing the 264 steps of the Egarsios road to enjoy the panoramic view and the scenery. Like every town, Arachova has its own folk museum where visitors can wander at the same time in the two villages which “hide” the 12 famous water taps.
