Now in winter on Mount Olympus the snow has already appeared at the lowest altitudes giving us a stunning color contrast with the white of the snow dominating most of the mountain.

For the winter ascent to Skolio we start from the parking lot of KEOACH, where our meeting point will be at 1800m. (note: the road to the camp is good quality asphalt)

We pass through the Camp and in a short time we reach the elevators of Chk. Vrysopoules 1920m. Following the slopes we reach Cat. Migotzidis 2400m, now we are in the alpine zone of the mountain and enjoy the off-white landscape.

Just above our heads stands the peak Agios Antonios !! we continue our ascent reaching the saddle of Agios Antonios a point with a view that is breathtaking .. We continue aiming at Skolio and after crossing a passable ridge we reach the top

Total duration of the Excursion: 9-10 hours

Total duration of Hiking: 7-8 hours

Altitude difference: 1100m m.

Hiking distance: 11-12 km.

Conditions:

You do NOT need to have previous experience.

It is a route suitable for children as well. (16 years old + accompanied by a guardian)

It requires good physical condition and love for nature.

Meeting time: 08:00 am

08:00 Meeting with the Drivers at KEOACH, acquaintance, equipment control, start of hiking.

10:00 Arrival at Cat. Migotzidis 2400m, rest and departure for Agios Antonios.

13:00 Arrival at Skolio 2911m

16:00 Return to KEOACH end of activity.

ATTENTION IN CASE OF BAD CONDITIONS A CLIMBING WILL BE MADE AT THE TOP OF AGIOS ANTONIOS 2820m.
