The ideal location of Ilaeira Mountain Resort near Sparti makes it the perfect starting point for exploring the Laconian region either going north to ancient Sparta and Medieval Mystras, south toward the sea and caste-like Mani, or up the trails of Taygetos mountain. The hiking trails are numerous and the famous E4 path that leads to the summit of Profitis Ilias is only a ten minute drive or 40 minute walk from the hotel. Another peak seen directly from the hotel, the peak of Agia Kiriaki, also offers a unique hiking experience directly accessible from the hotel; the view from the peaks of Taygetos is breathtaking.

On a culinary level, the hotel is known for its restaurant Torizas Flavours that offers exquisite Greek cuisine. Ilaeira is also known for its daily fresh desert, and homemade marmalades and preserves made from the trees and bushes of the resort.

For breezy cool summer moments we suggest our pool bar LeStelle for the absolute relaxing experience. Enjoy a cocktail by the pool at 850m above sea level with a view of the pine forest and the Laconian valley below. The water, trees and sounds of the forest create a genuine feeling of tranquility with nature.

For cozy winter moments Ilaeira Mountain Resort is also open during the fall and winter months. With a panoramic view to the lights of the valley and the forest peak, Toriza’s Flavours restaurant offers top quality dishes with respect to Greek cuisine. It is surely the fine flavors but it is also the cozy, elegant atmosphere of the space itself! Its mountainside patio for summer and the cozy fireplace for winter makes it an ideal all year target for lunch or dinner. Our restaurant emphasizes in local products, best quality ingredients and the most tasteful Greek traditional recipes. Culinary tradition comes to life here, through our chefs older recipes blended together with delightful fresh new flavors of today.

Spring water coming directly from the mountains flows in Ilaeira’s charming pool. Immerse yourself in total relaxation. Listen only to the whispers of the mountain and relax by the pool sensing only the spicy aromas of nature. A small rounded children’s pool welcomes our little friends for swimming and playing with safety.

PHOEBE CAFE -BAR

Everything you’ve ever wanted in a classic luxury hotel bar. When the winter weather starts to warm, our winter bar makes its deput. The best top quality cappuccino in town for sure!

The very place to relax with a cup of coffee or a hot mountain tea in winter months, right next to the fire place with the view of the deep green forest peak right outside the big windows.

Warm, cozy colors and comfortable furniture on the inside will travel you to a world of total relaxation. On the terrace though there are a lot of games for our little friends, enjoy some family time.

The Phoebe Snack Bar is open all day offering guests the perfect place to dine from morning to night.
